BMS at K 2016 (19-26 October 2016)

BMS will be present at K 2016 in Dusseldorf with a stand in Hall 10 Stand G37, focusing on Globalization, Industry 4.0 and Internet of Things with its new release of PlantMaster MES 8.30.

Worldwide Manufacturing Excellence with BMS’ Consolidation Explorer

Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) haven been playing a very important role in the battle against productivity losses for many decades now. But meanwhile the world has changed and globalization has brought new challenges for international groups striving for worldwide manufacturing excellence.

Many BMSvision customers, not in the least inspired by the Industry 4.0 revolution, have urged the need of having one central database, possibly somewhere in the cloud, providing real time AND historic manufacturing data of their production sites all over the world. Benchmarking all production facilities on OEE, efficiency, quality,… by means of a few clicks, imagine what a powerful tool that would be for the company’s headquarters to rely their management decisions on ?

The Consolidation Explorer is based on the integration of the MES databases used in the PlantMaster MES system of each individual production site. This consolidation database resides on a consolidation server where the Consolidation Explorer software allows the users to analyze production and quality data in various ways using Pareto charting, trending, drill down, filtering, etc. Automatic broadcasting functionalities can email important summary reports on a daily basis.

For customers already using an overall Business Intelligence (BI) system, the consolidation database can be easily integrated and serve as a data provider for all manufacturing related information.

What if machines would WhatsApp you their problems?

SMS and email have become old school. WhatsApp and WeChat are ruling the world today. That’s why BMS has developed the use of these Apps in the PlantMaster Events & Alerts module in order to allow automatic alarms to be sent to phones and tablets. On the other hand, operators can use the App to report machine problems adding ad hoc pictures for documentation.
